WedgWood Women's Club

The first residents of the Wedgwood Development in Washington Township formed the WedgWood Women's Club in March 1966. The meetings were held in the homes of the fifteen club members...two of the original members are still active in the club.

In the late 70's, the women's clubs from other developments in Washington Township merged taking the name of WedgWood Women's Club. Since its inception, the club expanded to include all of Washington Township and the surrounding areas. The club has met in several locations, the last and present is the Wedgwood Country Club, 200 Hurffville Road, Turnersville. The membership has grown more than ten times, but the purpose has stayed the same. We work together not only for the charitable interests but also for the friendships.

As of June 2011, the WedgWood Women's Club has given over $54,000 in scholarships to Gloucester County College. The scholarships are for women, from Gloucester County, who are returning to school.  With great pride, an endowment of $17,500 was established with Gloucester County College.
