The largest fundraiser is the annual WedgWood Women's Club Christmas House Tour in Washington Township. The club has been hosting this event since December 1987 with 100% of the profit going to scholarships. Funds are also raised by the sale of the Entertainment Books and from trips to various cultural and educational programs.
This is the tenth year of awarding scholarships to women who are attending Gloucester County College. All the women who receive the scholarships are from Gloucester County returning to school after a hiatus. As of June 2011 the Club has awarded $51,000 in scholarships, $8,600 in book money and $17,000 in an endowment fund for women attending Gloucester County College.
This year $3000 was donated for scholarships and $600 for books. It is wonderful knowing that WedgWood Women's Club is helping women get a new start.
